Celebrating Child Life Month at Faith Presbyterian Hospice Post date March 28, 2025 This March, teammates at Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) and Forefront Living (FL) came together to celebrate Child Life Month with a series of interactive and engaging sessions led by Tierney Titus, CCLS. These sessions highlighted the vital role child life specialists play in supporting children through medical experiences, grief and coping strategies. Here’s a look back at the sessions we enjoyed: 🔹 Child Life 101 – March 7Teammates kicked off the month with a fun and informative quiz game, learning more about the child life profession and how it impacts families at FPH. Prizes and snacks made for an engaging session! 🔹 Education and Preparation – March 12Attendees explored creative tools used by child life specialists to explain diagnoses, body parts and end-of-life topics to children, offering valuable insight into the importance of education in pediatric grief. 🔹 Grief and Feelings – March 19Through a hands-on “Feelings Volcano” activity, teammates experienced how child life specialists help children process emotions and grief in a tangible way. 🔹 Coping and Self-Care – March 27The month concluded on a sweet note with a Self-Care Sundae session, where teammates learned helpful coping strategies while enjoying ice cream and a variety of toppings. A huge thank you to Tierney Titus for leading these impactful sessions and to all who participated in making Child Life Month a success.
